Zhang Ning

Former Deputy Secretary-General, China Scholarship Council

Zhang Ning is the former Deputy Secretary-General of the China Scholarship Council and currently serves as Chair of the International Competency Development Committee of the China Education Development Strategy Society. He possesses extensive experience in the selection, training, and placement of talent for international organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Physics from Peking University, a master’s degree in Speech Analysis and Recognition from the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Sociological Theory and Methods from Renmin University of China. Zhang Ning previously served as Education Consul at the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco and as Counsellor for Education at the Chinese Embassy in Sweden. From 2014 to 2020, he held the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the China Scholarship Council.
