Li Yingtao

History of International Relations Non-traditional Security The United Nations Gender and International Relations Negotiation Studies

Professor Li Yingtao holds a PhD and is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of International Relations and Diplomacy, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). She also serves as Executive Deputy Director of the BFSU Center for Gender and Global Studies. She has long been engaged in teaching and research on the history of international relations, non-traditional security, the United Nations, gender and international relations, and negotiation studies. She teaches undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral courses including “Modern and Contemporary History of International Relations,” “Political Science: Texts and Interpretations,” “Negotiation Studies,” “International Negotiation: Theory and Practice,” and “Feminist International Relations.” In 2017, she was recognized as a Distinguished Academic Leader at BFSU. In 2019, she was appointed as a Graduate Teaching Supervisor at BFSU. In 2022, she was appointed as a “Tianshan Scholar” at Xinjiang University. Her major social affiliations include: Vice President of the Beijing Women’s Research Society (2011–2016, 2016–2021, 2021–present), Standing Council Member of the Chinese Women’s Research Society (2021–present), member of the International Advisory Board for the Gender Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London (2023–present) and Associate Editor (2018–2021) and Editorial Board Member (2021–present) of the International Feminist Journal of Politics.
