Editor-in-Chief of the Blue Book of the United Kingdom, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Country and Area Studies, and Editorial Board Member or Academic Committee Member for various domestic and international academic journals, including European Studies and Canadian and Irish Studies.
Primarily engaged in teaching and research in the fields of European integration, British/Irish issues, global governance, and the theory of country and area studies. Has published over 80 academic papers in Chinese and English; published more than a dozen monographs, edited volumes, and translated works, including Transnational Democracy and Its Limitsand A Study on the Evolution and Impact of EU Trade Policy since the 21st Century, as well as over ten textbooks such as Modern College English: Listening and English Readings in Country and Area Studies: Classics and Theories. Has led more than ten national, provincial/ministerial, and international collaborative research projects in areas such as Sino-British relations, EU integration, and Irish studies.
