School of International Organizations and Peking University's School of Foreign Languages Hold Joint Party and Youth League Day Activity

On April 17, a delegation of 35 students and faculty members from the School of Foreign Languages at Peking University (PKU) visited the School of International Organizations (SIO) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) to jointly hold a Party and Youth League Day activity themed "Tracing the Origins of Languages, Practicing the Original Aspiration of Our Mission." The event was hosted by Bao Yuhan, Secretary of the SIO Youth League General Branch.

Li Aiguo, Secretary of the SIO Party General Branch, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from the PKU School of Foreign Languages. He provided an introduction covering the SIO's general overview, development history, distinct features of talent cultivation, policies for postgraduate recommendation (Baoyan), and training pathways, systematically sharing the SIO's practices and experiences in building its talent training system and supporting student development. Ding Yuting, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the PKU School of Foreign Languages, introduced the theme of this research and exchange visit, and shared their school's experiences in building student Party and Youth League organizations.

During the exchange session, Mo Fei, Associate Professor and Secretary of the Teacher Party Branch at SIO, and Jia Yin, Director of the SIO Office, shared their experiences regarding international organization practices and career development. Student representatives from both universities shared their insights and takeaways from participating in international organization internships, as well as diplomatic and foreign affairs services. The participating students and faculty also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as postgraduate planning and practical growth.

During the event, the students and faculty from the PKU School of Foreign Languages visited the World Language Museum to gain a deeper understanding of BFSU's distinctive practices in the preservation and innovation of language and culture, as well as the cultivation of internationalized talents.

Yang Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the PKU School of Foreign Languages, along with undergraduate and graduate student Party members and selected outstanding student representatives, attended the event. Student representatives from the SIO's student Party branch and Youth League branch also participated in the above activities.
