Kang Yumei

Jurisprudence Legislation Studies Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macao Constitutional and Administrative Law

Professor Kang Yumei is an associate professor at the Law School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and serves as the Director of the Jurisprudence Teaching and Research Division. She earned her Ph.D. in Law from Peking University.

She earned a double Bachelor's degree in Management and Law from Wuhan University. She then pursued graduate studies at Peking University, where she received her Master of Laws and Ph.D. in Law (Jurisprudence). She also participated in a joint Ph.D. program at Columbia University in the City of New York.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Tsinghua University School of Law, specializing in Constitutional and Administrative Law with a focus on the Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macao. She later became a Leslie Wright Foundation Research Fellow and a Postdoctoral Fellow in Basic Law at the Centre for Chinese Law, Faculty of Law, The University of Hong Kong.
